The first product we love that I would like to share with you is Bee's Wrap. If you have never heard of it, I hope you check it out and give it a try. They are a reusable alternative to plastic bags and cling film for food storage. Made with beeswax, cotton, jojoba oil and tree resin, they will last you a very long time with proper care. And I love the way they smell! The beeswax has a very pleasant, sweet aroma, but don't worry, it does not seep into the food.
Because they are made from beeswax, use the heat from your hands to wrap your food in Bee's wrap - when it cools, it will create a seal.
How to use them:
the short answer is: use them in place of plastic wrap. The only exception is meat. Bee's wrap is not recommended to be used with raw meat.
wrap fruits, vegetables, cheese, bread, herbs, or pastries
use them to cover bowls or other dishes
How to care for them:
Use cold water and mild dish soap. Since it is made from beeswax, hot water would melt it and ruin it. If you care for them properly, they will last a long time.
Bee's wrap is an amazing product, honestly. The wrap feels robust due to the cotton, so you don't have to be afraid that it will tear. We use it daily and all of ours still look like new. If you buy the pack of small, medium, and large, you will have a nice size distribution to fit most of your needs. In a time where we constantly add more and more plastic to the landfills and oceans, these wraps are a great alternative to reduce the plastic waste. Just as a note, the wraps stick a lot better to themselves rather than glass/porcelain/wood. So if you are wrapping a glass bowl, be sure to wrap it with good overlap with itself for a better seal. Overall, these are really great and I am happy we have found a reusable alternative to plastic.
