Simple Game Day Guacamole
I don’t always make appetizers, but when I do, they are delicious.
WHAT YOU NEED
1/4 cup of diced red tomato
2 tablespoons of diced red onion
1 clove of garlic, crushed
squeeze of lime juice (to taste)
salt (to taste)
HOW TO DO IT
Cut open the avocados around the pit, carefully remove the pit, and either squeeze or spoon out the avocados into a bowl.
Mash the avocados with a fork. (How smooth you mash it completely up to you)
Add the diced onion, tomato and garlic
Season with salt and lime juice
Mix everything well and serve immediately with your favorite chips.
If you follow my blog, you know I already posted my Super Bowl Cheesesteak Bites recipe. Well, I have another great game day appetizer that is guaranteed to be a hit. Fresh vegetables, tortilla chips, and a great game sound like the right concoction for good fun. This guacamole recipe could not be any simpler, but hits all of the right taste buds: creamy avocados with a little hint of garlic, fresh tomatoes, a little bit of red onion and just the right amount of bright lime juice make this a beautifully refreshing appetizer for any occasion. Don't worry about trying to find the right hack for keeping your avocados from browning because this guacamole is not going to last!
